I believe there are 3 things worth splurging on: books, food, and experience.

Imagine you’re already old and weak. You wouldn’t look back and say to yourself, “I had the most wonderful designer bag” or you would tell your grandkids, “Once upon a time there was a phone…”, right? Life is not about the material things* which can break, get old, or lost. It’s about the things we will look back to, things we will remember, things we will share, and things which will add dimension to our otherwise boring lives. I don’t want to get preachy here but I hope you get the point. I wish to discover these things and I hope you can too. 🙂

Other things:

  • The title is from Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, which goes without saying one of my favorite books of all time.
  • I am currently a part time student working my way to a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • I live with my family and my dog Nomnom in the Philippines.
  • Aaaand here’s a picture of me:

*Except books! Because it’s the story and the lesson is what you’re after.
**Every now and then I blog about everyday drama, something I’m currently obsessed with, or something I just felt like writing about. But yup those three are what you should mostly expect.
